-What is the purpose of the Ravencrest Homeowners Association?
Ans: An HOA or Homeowner Association is a legal entity created to manage and maintain the common areas of our community. In our community these "common areas" consist of the lake, landscaping, streets and roads. One of the primary functions of our HOA is to enforce and ensure that our "Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions" are adhered to by all individual homeowners. -If I buy a home in an HOA, do I have to belong to the HOA?
Ans: Yes, the only way an HOA can work correctly is if everyone who lives within its boundaries belongs to the HOA and pays dues.
-Are "chickens" allowed to be kept as pets and run free in our community?
Ans: No. In accordance with our Ravencrest Covenants and the Bartlett City Codes (10-101), it is unlawful to have poultry in residential areas and to run free onto neighboring property.

-What do I do about unattended dogs doing their business in my yard?
Ans: If the resident does not have the dog on a leash,that is the first fault. The second fault is any Ravencrest resident allowing their animal to do their business in a neighboring yard and not picking it up with a baggie. As per Bartlett City Code 10-104, (3) It shall further be unlawful for any person to permit any animal or poultry owned by him or under his dominion and control or leased by him or otherwise in his possession to create any nuisance or unreasonable annoyance to the detriment of other citizens of the City of Bartlett, Tennessee. You may report them to the RHOA Board or the Bartlett Police (nuisance).
